The parable of the gamblers.

Three gamblers were in a saloon playing Fan-Tan when someone rode through the street, crying that the end of the world was coming. They walked outside, and saw a distant line of clouds, a storm enveloping and destroying everything in its path. They had about an hour before it would arrive, and they returned indoors and began to discuss what they would spend their last hour on Earth doing.

The first gambler said, “Gentlemen, I believe I shall go behind the bar and grab a bottle of fine Kentucky bourbon and a handful of cigars and spend my last hour upstairs with one of the ladies.”

The second gambler said, “Gentlemen, I believe I shall cross the street to the church, go inside, and pray.”

The third gambler returned to the table and said, “Gentlemen, I shall finish the game.”

I shall finish the game.

I don’t know where I’m going, only God knows where I’ve been
