Took a break tonight and watched the two-episode VisionQuest premiere. I knew I was going to dig it—I’d watch James Spader paint a fence—but I forgot how some of the writing in this particular arc speaks to me. “What is grief, if not love persevering?” has no right to hit as hard as it does, and there’s another great line in the beginning of this show that lands as well. Whenever they tell a story about darkness of the soul or loss it always becomes my favorite.
