Feeling a bit bummed out this evening. Excited, but also bummed; you can’t embark on a new opportunity without leaving behind an old one. So I’m not sure I’ll be in the proper mindset to do much writing this evening, so I wanted to at least get this out there.
I’m moving on to a new company that’s offering me the chance to do more with my degree, which is awesome, but I’m going to be leaving behind a lot of awesome folks to do that. And I know it’s not like I’m setting out on a journey to Timbuktu or something here; I could literally walk to the old office from my new one on my lunch break any time I want. But it’s still a change, and for a guy who gets misty-eyed at the drop of a hat, I might need a moment.
Chances are I rally and post something in an hour or two, but just in case, this counts. Worst case, I’ll see you tomorrow.
